On my first or second, rather nervous, day I explored the university bookshop and there discovered another book to tempt me: Earth Rites. I lost no time in seeking out the first, Mysterious Britain.Ī couple of years later I started university, by coincidence in Leicester, Janet’s home town. It was the second book by Janet and Colin Bord on the strange and mystical locations of the British Isles. It led to me writing my own books on folklore and the supernatural and becoming editor of Paranormal Magazine.
